Indeed the error log is extremely usefull. However, it must be properly done and followed.
After 1 week of preparation in quant, i've found out that the area where i've the most difficulties was Arithmetic (especially the properties of numbers). Now I'm working on that specific part of quant-part.

yeah it certainly helps if one has the problem areas and questions identified. even the time taken by a particular kind of questions can be scrutinized using an error log .
