Hi RAS85,

Based on the way that you presented the information, I didn't realize that the last score was actually another practice CAT score. Assuming that you took your CATs in a realistic way that matches up with what you'll experience on Test Day, then my prior advice still stands. You're remarkably close to a 700+ right now - and you could potentially pick up the missing points that you're after in either the Quant or Verbal sections.

With about 2 weeks to go before Test Day, you really should plan on taking 2 CATs (not 4 - there would be no benefit and you're more likely to just 'waste' those extra CATs than gain anything from the process). A CAT is really a 'measuring device' - when used correctly, it will give you a realistic score and help define your strengths and weaknesses, but it will NOT help you to fix any of those weaknesses. To raise your scores, you have to put in the necessary practice and repetitions. The CAT will show you whether your studies are helping you to improve or not. This is one of the reasons why you really shouldn't take more than 1 FULL CAT per week. To eliminate the little mistakes from your work, you have to make the necessary adjustments to how you answer GMAT questions during practice (re: take more notes, do all the work "on the pad", etc.) and then 'carry over' those changes to how you take your CATS.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Dear Rich,

your message is really motivating for me. I'll do my best so and take only one tests (the two official that I have left). In the mean time I'll work even more on both verbal and quantitative part.

I'll let you know guys how it goes in two weeks!

Thanks again for your kind messages.

Dear guys,

I took another CAT from the official. So to recap previous scores are:

Feb 12th: Official CAT 680 (46Q, 37V)
Feb 26th: Official CAT 680 (47Q, 37V)
March 11th MGMAT CAT: 580 (Q38, V31)
March 25th MGMAT CAT: 550 (Q34, V32)
April 30th MGMAT CAT: 680 (Q44, V38)
May 21st Official CAT: 690 (Q46, V38)

Today...
May 28th Official CAT: 700 (Q48, V38)

Yes it happened.. I would like to have your advice though. For instance in the score of the 21st (690) I made 10 mistakes on the quantitative section. Today I made 16 mistakes...yes I know certainly I got right some tough answers, so even with 16 mistakes, the score was higher than when 10 mistakes. But I was surprised by this fact.
I looked at the report, I got the first 14 right.....the importance of the first estimation was quite heavy on my score.

Otherwise my verbal does not improve.

Anyway..the more I do the CAT, the more I understand the importance of concentration and focus. I am pretty sure that the faster I'll be in slowing down my heartbeat at the beginning of the test, the higher the probability of reaching 700.

Thanks for any comment guys.. :)
