Dear all,
these are my previous scores:
Feb 12th: Official CAT 680 (46Q, 37V)
Feb 26th: Official CAT 680 (47Q, 37V)
March 11th MGMAT CAT: 580 (Q38, V31)
March 25th MGMAT CAT: 550 (Q34, V32)
April 30th MGMAT CAT: 680 (Q44, V38)
After working my a** off on both the quantitative and verbal part I finally got:
May 21th Official CAT: 690 (Q46, V38)
So I am really at the edge of the 700 barrier (my dream objective is between 700 and 720). The funny thing is that I have a very consistent results on the verbal since a long time as you can see. But I am not able to improve these statistics.
I am slightly better is RC. SC and CR well I have the same success (or failure) rate, with 4 wrong questions each at every test approximately.
What can you suggest me? My test date is the 7th of June and I think at this point 700 is not unrealistic if I improve the verbal part. What do you think?

Hi RAS85,
First off, a 690 is a fantastic score (it's just a bit shy of the 90th percentile overall), so you should apply to any Business Schools that interest you. As such, a retest might not be necessary (but if you've already paid for it, then there's no harm in the attempt).
GMAC has publicly stated that the Official Score that you earn on Test Day is within +/- 30 points of actual ability. As such, you could have very easily hit your goal score when you took the Official GMAT - but you missed 1-2 questions that kept you from that goal. The missing points that you're after can be found in EITHER the Quant or Verbal sections though, so it's not clear why you seem to be focused on just Verbal advice.
Looking at your last CAT, how many questions did you get wrong that you COULD have gotten correct? Can you define what you should have done differently (hint: that task will almost always require that you take more/better notes and do more work 'on the pad' - and NOT 'in your head').

I am sorry maybe what I wrote can be a bit misleading. It was not an official test, but a CAT test.
Anyway yes, when I look at my wrong answers, there are a few for which I am like: wow! ..I knew the answer!
I agree with you, I think I am 2-3 answers away to reach the 700 barrier. I have 15 days left from test day.
