Hi to everyone,

I´m in big trouble. Already took the GMAT five times in less than a year, and still didn´t get more than 600 points. My latest attempt was my highest score, exactly 600 (Q46,V27). In September `15 and October `15 I cancelled two attempts of 500 points and since then my trend has been 550 in December, 570 in January and 600 in February. Therefore, It seems that on the sixth attempt I should get more than 600 points. But as you may know GMAT only allow you to do 5 attempts in twelve months, which I already did. I am applying to start a master in September, but with a 600 GMAT it seems pretty tough to get in. So, I would like to know what you guys would do in my case, I can´t lose another year. My plan is to write to GMAC, and request them about an extra attempt taking in to account that I cancelled two of them, and that, my trend shows that one extra attempt would be enough to get a score between 610 and 650, which would allow me to start a master in September. So, what do you think, guys?

Thank you for your help.
PS: I had no idea of this rule, till I´ve tried to book my sixth attempt. Knowing before this rule I would not have done those stupid attempts in September and October ´15

There is no harm in trying, but I will also concur with the others and say that it very unlikely that they would make an exception.
Regarding the trend of your scores, I would say that it is not necessary that you would score more than 600.
Your score does not depend on the number of attempts, but on how much you learn after an attempt.

If you plan to go for another attempt, make sure that you try to set to the bottom of your mistakes that you do on the test.
All the best!
