I have a 3.08 GPA from a top 50 private school in International Relations (though our IR program is consistently ranked in the top 5 to top 10 nationally) and a MS in International Relations & Politics from a Top 5 UK university. However neither degree was quant heavy aside from two econ courses. Would it be worthwhile to undertake a couple stat, math, or econ courses through Harvard Extension School or University of London (around $700 per class for the former, more for the latter) in order to boost my profile and show I can earn better grades? Or is better to just go with my profile as is / do more volunteering through work or some such? For further reference, I am targeting Yale, Duke, Cornell, and UVA.

I have a GPA around yours and I did take several classes, including Finance, Stats, and Accounting. I'm in at Texas and Notre Dame and awaiting a Round 1 decision for Michigan. I think it's worth it, but it depends on how high your quant score was on the GMAT, your grades for your Masters, and your work experience.
