Hi All,
I was reading one article where I had to go through a sentence that has the initial part something like this. Though the context was understood, I could not get the perfect meaning of the following clause.
"Although nothing could be further from the truth"
Could you explain me with examples, what does this mean and how can it be used in normal usage?
Kinda odd query. But, this helps non-native speakers like me. If I find this in RC, I donot go wild!!

Let me guess,
"Although nothing could be further from the truth" = "Although everything could NOT be further from the truth"
"no further" = "closer"
So,
"Although everything could be closer to the truth" : We are trying to figure something out.
Example:
Although nothing could be further from the truth, this piece of evidence seems to reverse the whole situation.
"Although nothing could be further from the truth" = "Although everything could NOT be further from the truth"
"no further" = "closer"
So,
