C,D,E clearly have modifier issue.

A uses the correct idiom so that

A is correct.

but should the sentence use investigating rather than investigated ?

yes it shld be investigating. but i ignored it since all sentences have this only

Yes..Thought A because of the idiom, but 'investigated' is confusing. Should be 'investigating'. What is the OA neeshpal?
