Hi all, I am looking to apply to Calgary for fall 2020 intake. Just wanted to get some feedback from current students/alumni about the recruitment in the last few years. I know the Oil and Gas industry is down. Has that affected the general recruitment ?
I am looking to get into the Op Mgt track. What are the prospects in the given circumstances ?
Also, would like a profile evaluation .
I am Indian, male, 35. Bachelors degree from Georgia Tech - 3.48 GPA. Masters in Engineering Management from Duke Univ. 4 years work experience in Semiconductor industry after which I returned to India. Started an agritech venture from scratch. Loads of experience in Op mgt, Proj Mgt, HR Mgt and marketing of products. Would I be a good fit ? Would age be a factor working against me ? Took GMAT a couple of days back. Got 590, was getting around 610-620 in mocks. Planning to take again end of Jan and looking to be around 650.
Secondly, what are the prospects of IT/Process audit/ Risk Management professionals in AB. My wife works for KPMG in their risk mgt vertical. Will she be able to get a job since she is eligible to work as a spouse.
How would you compare Alberta to Calgary ? What are the other options in the similar league ?
