So, I am guessing this is in the "no-no" pile but I thought I would check what others thought to be sure.
I completed an Alumni interview with someone from Tuck that lives here in Seattle a month or so back. When I receive my *ding* from tuck I was considering sending a brief message to him to inform him of my status. He did request to be updated when I found out. This seems pretty reasonable
My question is this - Can I request to keep his info "in my Rolodex"? e.g. when I am looking for an informational interview and/or internship placement - would it be inappropriate for me to contact this alumni of a school I won't attend?
On a related note: I assume it is in pretty bad taste to attend the alumni/prospective events in my metro area Late'08/early 09 as a way to network for internships in summer 09? It seems pretty crass to me, but maybe I am wrong and in fact it is a stroke of genius?
