1. Have you kept track of you errors? an error log will reveal areas of improvement.

2. Kaplan scores notoriously lower. Have you tried taking a GMAT Prep test? GMAT Prep would be the best indicator.

you're not a loser. Fortunately you said you're making silly mistakes, which I assume meant that you understand most of the major concept, but just a lack of focus. I'd say to leave GMAT for a few days and tackle it again after that. You need to re-gain your confidence and make sure you understand exactly WHY you're making these absurd silly mistakes. Once you understand that, just don't fall into the trap and you'll be fine.

I think that you should calm down and change your attitude towards yourself. I've been in the gmatclub for few days only and I was looking for something to provoke me. You definitely did it. Everyone experiences difficulties but you should treat yourself with respect. Change your thoughts! Believe in yourself! Your success depends only on you!

You lose only if you give up. I would recommend a quick reading of Sidartha. (you may be able to find it for free online; i think the copyright has expired)

don't give up!

spend more time reviewing than actually doing the problems. I think you can seriously improve if you spend > 75% of your time reviewing and relearning those that you got wrong AND right.

like what the other posts have said, you should maintain an error log (i don't do so myself, but at least i write notes down on everything i learn -- from the subtleties of an adverbial phrase to like dumb idiom mistakes i've made)

which sections are you having the toughest time in? if say SC or RC, then go though the MGMAT or PowerScore books, take notes!, then, do the OG12 problems AGAIN. If need, go through the ones you got wrong in OG12 (the 3rd time if you have to).

Don't give up! I think the fact that you're dwelling on the scoring is making you focus on your mistakes. My suggestion is psyche yourself up, make an honest assessment of mistakes and find areas of improvement and take on this thing head strong!

ok, first of all what is your goal for gmat? Second, it seems your score is very "balanced" so you will have to work on both. If you dont mind spending some extra money perhaps an online class like knewton, mgmat etc. could bring a different perspective and might help your studying.

Some people tend to do better at the GRE. many schools now accept the exam in place of the GMAT. If you really feel that you've pushed your limits onthe GMAT then try looking through a GRE book. The material meshes with some people

16 days to go, that's more than 2 weeks. I would recommend that you look at the way you approached the questions.

Did you blindly rush into some of the answers for questions that you have no idea how to solve?
These are the keys to your next improvement

Any question type that you most feared and always got them wrong?
Isolate these questions and tackle them, make them your point gainers

I think it is very possible to for one to hit 600+ if he/she is approaching the GMAT in the right way. Just don't give up. I got 580 today despite scoring 700+ on some previous mock tests. I will analyse my problem and continue to fight until I get my 700+. You should too.

Hey buddy, there are a lot of indians and foreigners ( parallelism maintained ) in this forum, and most of them managed to get 700, only because they were patient. In my opinion, it is very demotivating if you try to rush the whole process in 2 months, some may say that they finished the whole process in 2 weeks but why would you really worry about that.

Cheer up.
