Hey there,
Do you think an Indian engineer (Civil) be good enough with a 690 score Q49 V37 to get admitted into top 5 bschools, namely, Harvard, Stanford, Berkeley, Wharton, Kellogg??
one year work ex, site and planning, managed labours, and some staff members, not very effective, what do you expect from a one year work ex?
top in class in the #1 university of the state
Leader from school to university (not university president, but a member of the university cabinet, exclusive student member of the anti ragging / bullying comittee, class representative, won college elections with 100% support i.e no one opposed
Marathon, debates, art, quiz and all rounder certificates certificates in school
Academics consistently in 99th percentile of the class
Grand father was a freedom fighter (if that is relevant)
Please let me know if the following information could be leveraged to get me an interview in the colleges.
I've considered, Duke, UCLA, Cornell, Yale as back up.

Unfortunately no. Indian male engineering applicants are the most overrepresented demographic among b-school applicants & it's also a group that tends to have very high GMAT scores (740+). A 740 would be a minimum GMAT for these schools & the higher the better. When you're an Indian male engineer you want to hit a score that's ~30 points above a school's average in order to be seriously considered. You also need 3-5 years of experience upon matriculation if you plan to apply to b-school. With only one year of experience you could target MiM programs, but you'll still want to improve your GMAT score to ideally at least a 720.
