I have applied to both Booth and Kellogg WE PT program (nail biting...) Since I plan on commuting from central IL (about 3 - 4 hours drive) I was looking at options from Amtrak and I discovered the Multi ride ticket option

MUCH cheaper than buying a full ticket each time and better for the car!
Also even PT Students are eligible for the ISIC or Student Advantage card, which is an additional 15% discount on Amtrak.
ISIC and Student Advantage have travel booking websites where you can get cheaper air tickets, lodging etc...
