\(\frac{x*2* r}{100} = 100 \)
\(x = \frac{5000}{r}\)... (I)
let \(y\) be the dollar amt. invested for 4 years:
\(\frac{y*4*r}{100} = 400 \)
\(y = \frac{10000}{r}\)
\(y = \frac{10000}{r} = \frac{5000 * 2}{r} = 2x\) from ...(I)

I did it this way..
if 100$ is in 2 years so 100/2 = 50$ per year
If 400$ in 4 years then 400/4 =100$ per year.
From here in terms of x will be to get the same amount of interest we have to double x which is mean the right answer is D) 2X
