Hi JoPro,

First off, raising a 330 to a 640 is an outstanding achievement - and a 640 is a solid Score, so it could be enough to get you into your first-choice School. As such, a retest might not be necessary. There's certainly no harm in continuing to study (with the goal of scoring higher), but we'll have to better define a number of aspects to your prior studies before we can properly plan out how you should study next.

The variations in your Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores are likely due to a mix of different issues, including lucky/unlucky guesses on certain questions and little mistakes that you make (or don't make). In addition, if you are frequently dealing with Verbal questions by "narrowing the answers down to 2 choices - and then 'guessing'", then that could lead to some big potential swings in your Verbal performance. In addition, that type of approach will likely limit how high you will score (since probability dictates that you'll only get about half of those questions correct - and that's a lot of potential points that you might miss out on).

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on your timeline and your goals:

1) What is your overall goal score?
2) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
3) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

You might also choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn’t provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong on Test Day (and what you should work on to score higher). If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.
