The original sentence has pronoun error.
'...the doctor suggested that he be on....' he here has no antecedent/ wrong antecedent. - Pronoun antecedent error.
The pronoun he as per logic should refer to Alex. But Alex is in the possesive case '...Analyzing Alex’s medical reports....' Hence the pronoun he cannot refer to Alex and is hence wrongly refering to 'the doctor'.
This is the error analysis. Now to choose the answer.

Process of Elimination:-
a.) Analyzing Alex’s medical reports, the doctor suggested that he be on bed rest for one month - INCORRECT for reasons mentioned above

b.) Analyzing the medical reports of Alex, the doctor suggested that he should be on bed rest for one month - Here though Alex is not in possesive case the pronoun 'he' can refer to either 'the doctor' or to 'Alex' - the noun to which the pronoun 'he' is referring, is not clear - hence INCORRECT

c.) Analyzing his medical reports, the doctor suggested Alex that he should be on bed rest for one month - INCORRECT - again the noun to which the pronoun 'his' is referring to is unclear. Does his refer to doctor? or to Alex? is unclear.

d.) Analyzing Alex’s medical reports, the doctor suggested that Alex be on bed rest for one month - CORRECT - no errors in this sentence. And no pronouns as well in this sentence. And the lists that alex should be doing is also parallel.

e.) Analyzing his medical reports, the doctor suggested Alex to be on bed rest for one month - INCORRECT - Again same as option 'c', the antecedent of the pronoun 'his' is ambiguous. Also the lists are not parallel, to be is not parallel to eat, stay away, spend time.

c.) Analyzing his medical reports, the doctor suggested Alex that he should be on bed rest for one month,
d.) Analyzing Alex’s medical reports, the doctor suggested that Alex be on bed rest for one month,
e.) Analyzing his medical reports, the doctor suggested Alex to be on bed rest for one month,

I have followed the strategy to eliminate stuff :
a) dr. suggested that he... here he is meant to be Alex, but he is referring to the dr. Ambiguous pronoun
b) Ambiguous pronoun
c) Ambiguous pronoun
d) my answer
e) Ambiguous pronoun.

A general rule for pronoun is that, it should be placed as much closer as possible to the noun. Hope this helps. :P
