In 1st saving he has saved 3/7 of the cost and remaining is 4/7 cast that need be saved.
Now in 2nd saving he has saved 2/5 of the unsaved cost which is 4/7 but 3/5 of 4/7 will still be unsaved.

So the remaining unsaved cost will be = 3/5 of 4/7 = 12/35

Ans is C.
