Dress nice (read: tails) and it will come out over the phone !

Wear atleast an underwear if not on the video phone.....

on a serious note.. I would wear business casuals to get the feel.....lying on the couch with your cat is not a good idea....

When in doubt, go suit. Your interviewer really should have specified. Mine told me to wear jeans.

and depending on your collection of work duds (and your gender to some extent) you can always split the difference on the level of suit-fanciness. Duke recommended business casual - I wore a more casual suit that is this sort of bizarre color. UNC wanted biz professional, so it was pinstripes.
