I like to solve these kinds of problems using tables:

AMOUNT OF SOLUTION: ....50...........X........(50+X)
PERCENT SALT:................1/10.......3/10.......2/10
AMOUNT OF SALT: ...........5............3X/10....2(50+X)/10

....................................5+3X/10=2(50+X)/10

Solve for X:

X=50

ANSWER: D.
