Given p ,q,r,s,t are integers p>=q>=r>=s>=t. mean of the p,q,r,s and t is 100 and the median is 50.what will be minimum possible value of p??
Since \(p>=q>=r>=s>=t\) , we know that median is 50 and since " r " is in the middle r=50. \(\frac{(p+q+r+s+t)}{5}=100\) so p+q+r+s+t=500.
We know that r=50, so p+q+50+s+t=500 meaning p+q+s+t=450.
Then we know that \(p>=q>=50\) and \(t=<s=<50\) because of median property. Since question asks for minimum value of p, we must maximize all others. t=50 and s=50
450-(50+50)=350
We also assume p and q equal. p=q=N
Therefore p+q=350 will be 2N=350
2N=350
N=175 meaning Q=175
Since P must \(>=\)Q , it must be \(>=\)175.

450-(48+49)=353
We define p and q, P=N+1 AND Q=N respectively, because p must be bigger than q.
Therefore p+q=353 will be 2N+1=353
2N=352
N=176 meaning Q=176
Since P must "N+1" , it must be 177. (177>176)
