Hi gmat club members,
If any of the members used the gmat prep course name
Mastergmat then please share your thoughts. You can pm me if you feel its better.
I used their trial service and felt it was simple and efficient to use but I also felt that the level of their questions is over complicated.
But for self study their charge is 150, which I felt is quite good. I would have chosen
Manhattan gmat but i am not sure if they allow one to enroll in just their online course without all the books and stuff.
Thank you.
Hi ,
I am currently attending the course and i feel its very good.
I have at this point, completed about a third of the course and think its working quite good for me. Few points about it :
The course is adaptive, which means it will find out your weaknesses and focus on them- this sometimes get very frustrating because whenever there is a topic in which i am not good at, they will beat it to death. However that is the correct way to go about it
You will need to trust their algorithm, they will recommend and select what is it that you should study. This does not work for some, but it does for me.
You may select the time period for each session. For instance whenever i get a 10-15 break in my office i take sessions for 10 or 15 minutes.
They have a huge collection of questions and many are above the 700 level. I especially like their questions in the Quant section.
Methodologies used in RC,CR,Quant are terrific. SC is good as well, but the others are still better
A nice thing is for many of their questions while practice they will use a clock and ask you , how much time you took to solve the question to improve your time awareness.
Explanations are good , as they have explanations for every incorrect answers as well. The instructors provide thorough email support and at a quick turnaround to your queries
Overall - This course is very good for working professionals like me, who have time contraints but want a detailed preparation. To my assumption the entire course should take around 80- 90 hours, and it covers everything including AWA
However if you are already aware of your strengths and weaknesses and only want to focus on selective areas, then this might not be the best thing for you.
