I was waitlisted without interview on 01/23.
I already send them two updates. How many updates have you guys sent. My guess is that they won't start looking waitlist till May.
Do you know what are the deposit dates for R1 and R2 admits.
NYU is ideal for me as my wife won't have to change her job.
I have offers from Simon (with $$) and Smith and WL from Cornell too.

I am on the waitlist...I believe one of the deadlines for deposit is April 30 for Round 1 admits, not sure if Round 2 admits are subject to same deadline. The decision deadline for Round 3 is June 1 (this is the ding, w/l, interview deadline for the round). I am game to wait until mid June, after that I may drop off.
My guess is if you are willing to wait until the bitter end your chances continue to improve as other people have made their decisions.
