Hi folks,

I'm wondering which tier schools are suitable for me. 50~100? Or >100 ? Actually, this my second time to apply and I'm kind of drained and exhausted. This journey is so long and lone. But, luckly, I found this place where I can share with you guys. Thanks.

UGrad: MIS, local, GPA 3.4
Grad: IS, US, GPA 3.9 (expected to graduate 2007)
GMAT: 720 Q50, V38, 4.5
4 years as programmer in a local telecom but have no research experience.

ps:I'm a international student and I want to apply for IS track.

Some questions:
Which schools did you apply to during your first attempt? Why were you rejected?

What is the grad program that you are doing now? Where?

Hi tkkoh,

Purdue, U of Arizona, UT Austin, Georgia State, and UT dallas are in my first list. I got only 660 in my first AT test. So, maybe this is one major disadvantage. My program is information science at UF. Thanks. Any comment I'll very appreciate.

Your profile has definitely improved since your first attempt. Stronger GMAT + a Master.

I think you have a good shot at Purdue, U of Arizona, UT Austin, Georgia State, and UT dallas. Depending on your research interest and LOR, you can even try to aim a bit higher. Actually, these schools that you listed are already quite strong in IS.
