I'm working on my Stanford essays for R3. I know, I know...R3 is a lost cause. But I've already applied to a bunch of other schools in R2 and it doesn't hurt to try. The "aspiration" essay is really kicking my a$$ right now.

Or am I a lone warrior? Seems like everyone is talking about GMAT, Admits, Dings, etc,,everything but essays.

How do I go about getting the veterans of this site to review my drafts?
I am writing my essay, so you are not a lone warrior, btw where are you applying for? I thought that writing essays is simple but now I see how difficult is to write even half a page. I have searched for some sample essays to see how should it look like but I don't found them useful nor are they relevant, so now I write it on Russian language than translate it in english, that is how I do it.
One good thing is that when you write something you should put it away then some time after (day or couple of days) reread it, so you can see some logical mistakes and you will have chance to change it.

I made up my mind in oct that i want to shoot for an MBA in the UK. by the time i took the GMAT etc, its mid Feb and only round 3 and round 4 is left. Some say round 3 UK = round 2 US, since US schools have 3 rounds in total and UK schools that I am applying to have 4 rounds.

So I am writing them for Round3 at Judge Business School(Cambridge) and Said Business School (Oxford). Judge's deadline is in a couple of weeks now.

Hi everyone:

I am planning to apply for Fall '09. I have already taken the GMAT and would lie to get started on my essays. My concern is that schools change their essays each year, and any essay work I do now would be a wasted effort. Does anyone know if there are certain schools that are known to keep their essays formats the same each year or certain schools that will routinely change the essay requirements?

Thanks!!

Hi Cairleif,

I am an essay newb, but I do know that almost all schools if not directly, at least indirectly want answers to the

"Why MBA? Why Now? Why School X? What do you bring to the party?" type of question. and from my experience this can be the hardest to write. so i'd get started now...you have a head start on the 09'ers
