any idea why GMAT says the scores range from 0-60?

I had the same question :)
GMAT officially says that max score is 60... Then, I think, if you answer each question correctly, you must get 60. But I have never seen smb who scored more than 51.

GMAT officially says that max score is 60... Then, I think, if you answer each question correctly, you must get 60. But I have never seen smb who scored more than 51.

Well, I don't think so that a person can score more than 51. In the GMATPrep exam, I did all the 37 questions in Quant correctly. Still, I got a 51.

I don't think they have two different algorithms for GMATPrep and actual GMAT.

Yes, you're right. I've already found in another topic that scores 52-60 were reserved for the future... From the other hand, I don't understand why do they need to reserve smth... :)

Even then i have noticed that both the software accurately diagnoses a students weak point and assess them likewise. their score somewhat matches
