Haven't heard from them. I know they had spring break recently, so even though it's been a few weeks, the office was shut down for one week.

Just read my above paragraph and it sounds like someone saying, "So I called that girl from the bar the other night and left a message, she hasn't called back, but I'm pretty sure she said something about being really busy this week and I don't think she's one of those people who checks their voice mail every ten minutes, so I'm not worried. She'll totally call. Although maybe I should call her again in case her voice mail system crashed or something. Maybe she lost her cell phone."

Or maybe she gave her number to 40 guys too many last year and now her voicemail is full ;)

What's your status? I'm on the WL.

WL here too. yb would you even consider their offer considering you're in at GSB?

I'm 100% going to GSB and I'll remove myself from the Yale WL as soon as I pay my deposit. I do wonder however, what impact the increased selectivity this year will have on SOM's reputation.

I don't think the deferrals or the surge in applications is necessarily going to help Yale's reputation. Maybe the new curriculum and the new facility they're planning to build will help.

There seems to be speculation that the smaller number of spots this year is going to change Yale's yield numbers. I would assume that any rankings algorithm would include those 40 deferrals as part of the 2006 incoming class, so I don't think Yale is inflating it's yield numbers as some people are speculating on the BW boards.
