Thanks for the wishes! Although I must say, judging by your response I am now starting to doubt if I am using the same CATs as the ones mentioned by you. I gave my KAPLAN CATs through the online resources of the Kaplan, which you get access to when you purchase any of their books (Kaplan Premier in my case). My final KAPLAN CAT (gave it 2 days back) came out as this:

Just got back from my GMAT exam today. Got a 760. What a relief to be done with it! :) Although the last CAT did raise my expectations a little too high >:-|

Can anyone suggest how accurate KALPAN test results are compared to the real GMAT score. I have given KALPAN CAT test 3 and 4 and got 690 in each of them.

Also, in my GMAT prep I got 730 once and 650 in two attempts.

can anyone suggest what kind of scores I should be expecting?

Usually, the GMAT Prep is the best indicator. However, your scores seem to vary wildly in those! As for the Kaplan CATS, I would say a score of 10-20 below that score would be something that you can definitely get.

So based on your current scores, my bet would be a 680-710 score. But since you have scored 730 on the GmatPrep once, I'm sure you can easily raise your GMAT score by working on your weak points.

Thanks for the reply...

The Kaplan and the last GMATprep score are my last three test and my bad score in 1st test was due to the fact that I was too slow and didnt complete either sections in my 1st attempt. The major issue I am facing now is in the Verbal section and mainly involves finishing the test on time. And I seem to be struggling on completing Verbal sectios in Kaplan, its not that bad in other tests mainly the GMATclub tests.

My test is due in 5 days time. I am not sure how much I am more I can improve. Any suggestions are welcome.

Keep benchmarks for sets of questions.

Like for Verbal, decide beforehand that by the time you reach Question#15 (or any other convenient question), you should have ATLEAST XX minutes left on the counter. That way, you will be able to spend more or less time on the tough questions, in order to make sure you finish each section. Practice your CATs in this fashion. It should help.

vow...hearty congrats on 760....

But I must say...Im still surprised at your Kaplan scores...I know many people complaining of Kaplan being very hard....

I mean...usually people score 680-700 types in kaplan and end up getting 730-750....types in real GMAT

anyways...how does all this matter....u got a great score...all d best for your application
