His Math bible is excellent. I would recommend it, although it is written at a bit more advanced level and requires dedication to master.

But he teaches what most 750+ scorers use (mental math).

GMAT math Bible is a good book for someone who has weak fundamentals. It contains some usefull materials but for test takers that are around 40 in quant section. Anyway, I am not sure it is worth $45 since you can find similar quant content for free on a number of websites, including this one.

The real trouble is finding 45+ materials (other than the last 20% questions in OG) so I guess one should save money for that kind of books.

I'm having some trouble reconciling comments made by Hades and Pathfinder. Is this book primarily advanced or basic?

I've read mostly positive reviews on this product, but does anyone know how it compares to the Manhattan math series?

Thanks again guys!

I have not used the Manhattan math series. Let me get some clarification as to what people mean by 'advanced' questions ? If we are talking about tough quant questions, then the toughness of those questions is not based on any advanced concepts. It all boils down to the fundamentals and a variety of ways the questions can be framed around the fundamentals. So, instead of looking for 'advanced' questions, try looking for the basics of the basics of the basics until you can find no more basic stuff. Jeff's GMAT bible will cover these basics to a large extent. Is it worth 45$ - that depends on the relative importance you place on money. What is 45$ worth for you ? For me, any amount of money spent on education is worth it. On the same note, I don't buy the argument of 'not attending a b-school because it's expensive - that's a load of BS'. Not to digress, but the math bible will make you quite strong in the fundamentals of basic quants. What it does not tell you is 'how to look for the basic stuff in the tough gmat questions'. Well for that matter, no material will 'teach' you that 'technique' . Look for solutions in this forum. Search for posts from walker or Hjort or other quant geniuses and that'll help you more than any material.

I was using MGMAT materials and liked them very much. However, I was completely stuck at combinatorics and probability - I could not understand nor explanations neither solutions. Then I purcashed Jeff's Total MATH and made some progress.
The book has funny design and decreased readibility, but its material is just great, I highly recommend it. The key concept Jeff teaches you: any GMAT questions shall and can be solved in 2 minutes. If you are getting x^5 equations which you cannot solve - you're doing smth wrong! So the difference in 'elite' and 'pleb' quant quesions lies in extra layers of fluff that the test makers put on the question to disguise its simple fundamental concept.

Now, can somebody please tell me about Jeff's VERBAL guide?

The verbal guide seems to enjoy less popularity than his quant materials.
