Hi everyone
I just gave my Gmat and my score is an average 650. i started preparing only two months back and have mainly used the official GMAC guide and the GMAT prep software for sample test. I want to know what are my chances of getting admission in the decent MBA colleges (Not aiming the IVY League) with the profile given below. Advise would be appreciated.
Qualification: Undergrad in Civil Engineering from India
Completed a semester project from National University of Singapore
Masters in Construction and Project Management from University of Manchester
Work Exp: 3.5 Years with one of the Top real estate company as deputy project Incharge in India
I want to pursue my MBA to get better prospects.
My options are open for good colleges in USA, Canada or Australia.
I want to know if I should try and give my GMAt again. If so where can i find some good links in improving my Math basically as my percentile in the same went a bit down. and how to get that basic edge as i am aiming at a score of 720 or so.

Hi Sabybhowmick,
First off, a 650 is a strong score (it's right around the 80th percentile overall), so it could be enough to get you into your first-choice School. As such, a retest might not be necessary. You're ultimately asking Admissions questions though, so you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of them here:

Since the process of applying to (and attending Business School) involves a significant investment of time, money and energy on your part, you really should do some research to determine which Schools are a good match for YOUR career goals (as opposed to just applying to School in which you 'would probably get in').
If you do want to retest, then it would help if you provided a bit more information about how you studied:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What materials have you used?
3) How have you scored on each of your practice CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?
4) What were your Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores on the Official GMAT?

650 is not "average". It's a good score. Whether it works for the programs you have in mind is something you could ask the experts here.
