Hi everyone. I have a gmat score of 700 (q49, v37). Experience in IT for 4 years as a software engineer. Xth: 85, X11: 72, B-Tech: 7.53. Short term goal is to transition into product management. Could any one evaluate my chances for the isb pgp?

A GMAT score of 700 is good, specifically talking about ISB. Another edge you have is your 4 years of work-ex; which falls perfectly in the bracket of 2 – 5 years’ work-ex. Your experience; it will be an edge for your profile. Talking about your educational background, I believe you are well above the required numbers (Xth, XIIth & B-Tech).
From a profile stand-point it’s perfect. Framing the right essay/SOP/LOR and prepping for the interview is all I would say required for you to get through. Also, ISB or for that matter mostly all B-schools look for a 360* development of the applicant and what the student has to offer to the college? (Something to keep in mind while framing your essay).

Coming to your work experience, you have a total of 4years of work experience in the IT field which is again decent enough but you should keep in mind that you will be facing a lot of competition from applicants who have worked in big four companies like KPMG, EY, DELOITTE and PWC. Nevertheless, if you don't have any big brand names under your profile, you can compensate for the same by highlighting the kind of projects you handled, the value you added to these projects, the skills you gained and the major takeaways you were able to attain throughout your work experience. Showcasing the intensity of your work experience would bring you at par with your competition.
Here you have not mentioned any details regarding your extracurricular activities or participation that hold equal importance as schools are looking for a holistically developed profile. When it comes to depicting your extracurricular activities, you should always focus on highlighting how you went above and beyond in your endeavors and how you will be a great value addition to the school.
