Can you share few details on the process. How long does it take ? Did you apply in R1 or later ?

Also, i have heard that the course is Finance Core , is it true ?

Please let us know if you have seen the "Actual" placement results for EU and NON EU based students ?

Congratulations! I know that they have very strict admissions process, so it is good to talk to someone who has already aced it. How was the admissions interview, what do they generally look for in an applicant, how much importance do they place on the GMAT score? Does having a lower GMAT score lower the chances of admission?

I applied in R1. After you submit your application, it takes about 1 week till you get an invitation to the interview. 3 days prior to the interview, they send you a business case to prepare. The interview is rather long, with a lot of brain teasers (for instance how many smartphone users are in Switzerland). After R1 is over, e.g. all applicants did their interview, the committee decides..

As the course has not started as yet, I unfortunately cannot tell whether it is Finance Core and I have no idea regarding the placements.. Sorry about that.

As I said, the interview was rather long and intensive.. I did not expect so many brain teasers.. and you have to present the business case.

They look for your work experience, team players, leadership characters, and internationality..

With regard to the GMAT, they told me it is good that mine is above 700.. But I think you can find out with the contact persons there.. They are very friendly and helpful.

I think the deadlines are the same as 2015, the first deadline is Oct-1.

I scored 650 (V 31/Q 47) - 5.5 AWA - 7 IR
Despite having scored 700 and 740 in my last two practice tests, in the real exam I had too many mistakes in verbal.
I think that's still a pretty good score considering that I had only two and a half months to prepare myself for the exam and that english is not my native language.

That is good information. When you say brain teasers, what type are they? Are they riddles or market sizing ones. Do they use more reasoning or facts?

As far as I know, they are removing deadlines from this year. Also the application process would undergo some changes. So it would be difficult to prepare for the application process before the new admission processes are posted. Hopefully we would know by September.

They are planning to remove the 5 deadlines. Instead there would be only the final deadline, so that we may to plan our application as per our convenience.

They said they were going to be some changes, but did not mention anything about the deadlines. I asked if the essays were to be the same as those of 2015 and was told that was only going to be one:

Please detail your short- and long-term career plans. As part of your answer, please include: (a) how studying both in Switzerland, and specifically on the St.Gallen MBA, would impact upon these plans; and (b) your back-up plan, should your immediate post-MBA plans not be successful.

Anyway, I will wait for the official announcement to start writing the essays.

By the way, I 'm meeting with one of the recruitment managers the first week of September. If you want me to ask him any questions regarding the admission process or program, just let me know.
