Re: Application Chance and Target School [#permalink]
You could keep 1 or 2 top 15 in your application. But they would be stretch and your essays and other aspects should be able to enhance your profile. Best guess at this stage would be to get a higher GMAT. Lot of Asian applicants are there. While your score is still competitive but try finding out what average score Asian applicants have at your target schools.(the top 15 you have in mind)

Hi folks,
First time posting something here, so if I say anything wrong, please let me know and I will try not to do it again (No promise tho, I'm slow :p).
Anyway, was thinking of starting my mba application and got myself into the limbo zone as I don't know what my target schools should be based on my profile. Hoping you folks can help with this.

Profile:
- Male, Vietnamese
- Undergrad:
- Supply Chain Major from University of South Florida (not top school, but I'm still proud of it).
- Undergrad GPA: 3.8
- Various Leadership position for student organizations

Professional
- 4 years experience from a Big 4 Tech Consulting
- Met every promotion milestone. currently at Senior Consultant Level
- Focused industry: Tech and Telecom
- Would like to get more exposure into Retail, Food and Beverage (my family in Vietnam has a big business in that area)

GMAT
- Took it in May 2017
- Overall: 700
- Quant: 49 (77%)
- Verbal: 36 (81%)

Appreciate all feedback and comments.

Hope all you are safe during this Covid situation :please:

Wait so let me get this straight
You are born and Raised in Vietnam and you came to USA for Undergrad and completed the UG and got international experience in a named company in USA.
And you have a 700 with a decent split

If you are targeting US Universities, I'd say 15-25 usnews ranking Universities will be the best fit for you,

Thanks Businessconquerer, so if I want to get into the top 10 or 15 schools, what do you suggest me to work on? Should I retake my GMAT or work on other aspects?

GMAT Only with a 740+ will be great !!

Makes sense oldmonkey. Sounds like I should focus on getting higher score for my GMAT. Time to break open the books again.
