Since I'm the snotty one who posted about reading the rules earlier, it figures I would do this....

Duke apparently has a supplemental forms checklist, which you are supposed to sign and include with your transcripts.

It's not a very interesting form - just shows what's in the envelope. You're signing off on the fact that everything is either in the envelope or online.

Well, I totally missed it - none of my other schools have anything like it. I FedEx'ed my transcripts last night, obviously without the form. Oh, for pete's sake.

So, what do you think, guys? Ignore it? Overnight it? Fax it? It's all due Monday. Call the office and sound like a dim-wit?

BTW - I did call them to say that one of my transcripts was going to come in the packet, the other was coming from the school. The school had sent it out without including Duke's official transcript form (yet another goofy form that doesn't do much), which they say they require. The woman on the phone completely blew off the form. She didn't care about it at all.

Overnight it, and call the school to let them know its coming.

I never mailed any such form and am a living proof that they don't care...R1 admit. I also fedex-ed the transcripts from my undergrad and grad institution without any such form. Just Chill !

I sent no such form (nor do I remember seeing it). I never even filled out Duke's transcript request form - sometime in October I faxed 1 page with addresses of all the schools I was applying to my undegrad. and that was my extent of worrying about transcripts.

So don't worry, duke will not care as long as they receive the stuff that matters.

I didn't even realize that I needed to fill out the supplemental form. Thanks for reminding me but its a little too late now. I sent my transcripts along with the request form about 2 weeks back. However, I did not send the supplemental form with this.

Do you think I should overnight this supplemental form or am I okay without it. They have everything else they need from me. Thanks,

Ok, here is what I am going to do.

I refuse to pay $20 to overnight this idiotic form that a number of folks on this forum haven't bothered with. Instead, I am either goinig to email a scan or fax it, with a note saying I am terribly sorry to have forgotten to put it with my transcripts. If they want an original, I am happy to send it along. Blahblahblah.

(I just had some major sh!t go down at work and am NOT in a conciliatory mood.)

She's just being nice in her email, but flagged your application and threw it in the trash. :lol:

Just kidding. I have noticed that some schools (Duke, Michigan) seem to be very flexible about supplemental materials, while others are real hard-asses.

yeah, i noticed that too.

I busted my bum to get all their stuff to them. I didn't even consider applying there until just 2 weeks ago. I actually responded to one of those unsolicited emails that come through the GMAT system.

So I bust my butt and then get a notice after submitting all my stuff that says, "If you missed anything, we'll figure it out in two weeks and then ask you for it then." Errrr....FedExing was expensive.

Oh well. It doesn't hurt to try to look as together as possible.
