Application help

Question

I would like to offer application help to anyone who needs it. No, I'm not going through some masochist application withdrawal now that I've been accepted, I really want to help my fellow GMAT Clubbers. I think I put together some great applications (CBS, Ross, Fuqua, Stern, and Darden), even though I only get to see the results of one (no complaints there!). Therefore, if you would like some of my insight, I'd be more than happy to help!

Just PM me, and we'll crank these bad boys out!

dj, may I suggest that you kick start the admitted student essays forum by adding a couple of your essays after you remove identifying and personal details. If you would like to contribute, get in touch with praet. I believe he has specific thoughts on how that forum would function.

I just found this thread from a few months ago, and I have some of the same paranoia as the others.

Since I am a brand new admit, I am going to lay low on posting even my disguised essays for now. In the meantime, I think it would work best if I gave advice both in this thread and one-on-one with the proverbial "red pen." I'm fairly confident that it will help, since I have been trained by an HBS grad who proofed my essays.

fair enough dj. May be we can consider this collectively at the end of the app season. I will send you some of my essays. You will probably run out of ink proofing them. :lol:

But yes, if you do have spare time (and if 1/2 the forum haven't already swamped you with requests - like our poor rhyme), please do identify the essays you wish to share at the end of the season and start editing out the personal info. Many of us plan to contribute to the vault so next year's applicants will have many more "non-superhuman" essays to read and learn from (hopefully). ESPECIALLY if they read my first draft and final draft and see how things evolved.
