suppose a bullet is fired into the air- how long will it take to land? we assume the bullet is travelling vertically, leaves the muzzle with a velocity of (n x 600 + 25l)m/s, and we are ignoring air resistance. the acceleration due to gravity is usually taken here to be 9.8 metrez per second per second. (note that firing bullets into the air is a very stupid things to do, and none of you would ever do it! with luck the only person who will get injured is the idiot who fired the bullet...).
