Happy to help.

1. Will LORs from my previous boss and superiors be acceptable?

A: Yes, no issue.

2. My superiors have agreed to write one LOR each and hand it to me(PDF/paper). I'm afraid this will restrict the schools I can apply to.

A: You concerns are legitimate. I don't understand why they would do that.

3. Will I need to ask my recommenders to help for any extra admission procedures, if so then what do I need to request their help for?

A: Can you rephrase your question? I'm not sure I understand it.

4. Or should I let go of the new opportunity to avoid a mess during my application period?

A: What kind of new opportunity are you considering? Are you not looking at an MBA or thinking about other recommenders?

Hey Admissionado

I am in a tricky situation right now.
I intend to apply in R2.
I have 3+yrs of workex, it will be 4 by the time I start mba. Currently I have a great new job opportunity that I want to join.
So here are my queries:
1. Will LORs from my previous boss and superiors be acceptable?
2. My superiors have agreed to write one LOR each and hand it to me(PDF/paper). I'm afraid this will restrict the schools I can apply to.
Will I need to ask my recommenders to help for any extra admission procedures, if so then what do I need to request their help for?

Or should I let go of the new opportunity to avoid a mess during my application period?

Please help me out.

Hi wannabeMBA10,
Let me address your 2nd question:
On your online application, you need to register your recommender(s) and input their contact details. Then the school will send them a link to the online LOR system, where they will be asked to fill in their recommendation on your behalf - answer the recommender questions and rank you on several traits.
If your recommenders write their LOR on a paper and hand it to you, this might be a problem because you can't upload it to your application. They have to do this themselves on the LOR system, so you need to ask them to do that. Besides that, the school may contact them to verify what they wrote on your LOR and ask follow up questions about you, so you need to ask them to be prepared for that option.
Hope this helps, feel free to reach out with further question or if you need any part of your application reviewed by experts. Good luck!
