Dear Gmat Club,
nearly all Topics in the MS Finance section are about students, who want a profile Evaluation for Master of Finance Programs in Europe or the US. Sadly, almost nobody answers to which school they applied and the results of their applications. But just those information would be from special interest for students looking for Master opportunities. Of course the best advice is always to apply for programs you are interested in, but I guess this threat could give students a solid first indication.
So I start right away
Age:22(23 in some Applications)
B.Sc.: Business Administration
School: Top 5 in Germany
GPA: 2,49 (equals something like 7/10, and is the last grade which is awarded a "good", which equals a 2:1, but is beneath the Average grade at my school)
Gmat: 680 (Q49/V34)
Work experience: 1,5 year Dax 30 working student, 4 Months Audit non Big 4
Schools and Programs:
Rotterdam Finance => before Christmas==> Accepted
MAccFin St. Gallen => applied in 1st round=> DECLINED
Bocconi Finance => 1st round => DECLINED
ESSEC Finance => 2nd Round=> DECLINED
SSE Finance => 1&2 Round => Declined
SSE Mavfm=> 2nd Round => accepted (Program which I chose
)
Nova Finance 2nd round => Accepted
I nearly accidentally discovered the possibility to apply for more than one Program at SSE on the last day of the Deadline, so I was really lucky there.
I hope that many others will share their experience with Ms Finance Applications and that this threat will support others in their decision making
