Long story short, I'd been eyeing grad school for some time, got a pretty serious injury at work, surgery, workman's comp, whole nine yards. Used the time to study for the GMAT and then apply to some grad schools. I can't, however, go back to my last job.
So my question is, what sort of jobs should I be looking at here before grad school? I'm assuming right now I'm going to get into one of the schools that I applied to so I'd be leaving in the fall. Anything I can do to bolster my resume at the moment?
I'm planning on focusing on marketing for business school, but I have degrees in finance and political science. I've kicked around Kaplan instructor (got a 750 on the GMAT) and also calling someplace like H&R Block to see if they hire for clerical work for the tax season. I live in a medium sized town at the moment, if that makes a difference.
I'm not looking for specific job suggestions, but more in general what I should be looking for that would put me in a better position after school to land a more serious job. Since most traditional jobs are out because they want someone for longer than a few months (and I'll need time off for the interviews I'll hopefully get) what can I seriously dig around for?
