Hi,
I am planning to apply in R1 in the next admission season. I gave GMAT last year and scored a 730. My main focus is on applying to European schools (and also maybe Rotman). Since this is the first time I am applying, would be really grateful if experienced applicants can provide guidance regarding the following:
1) General timelines for R1 applicants (including hiring of consultants, starting application prep, essays etc.)
2) Attending school events/webinars. I've read that it makes sense to attend these events right now to gain more knowledge about the various programs
3) Finalizing a consultant: Can anyone let me know how to go about doing the same, given the plethora of options (with a large pricing range) on offer? Given that I can schedule free sessions with them, what should be the things that I should enquire about that can allow me to make an informed decision?
4) Can I do anything in the remaining time to improve my profile (in terms of volunteering experience etc.?) I am currently preparing for CFA Level 3, which is scheduled for May-end 2021 so anyways have a time crunch.
5) Does it make sense to reach out to current students or alums of the schools that I am targeting?
Looking forward to hear from you all so that I can get some sort of clarity regarding this daunting process!
