Hi there!
Curious if Filipinos are over-represented in B-schools and if there are fellow Filipinos out there preparing for this 2021 intake.
Bit of an introduction -
Profile: I'm 27, based in Makati, has 7 years work experience for both the government and working for a private water utilities/investments firm, not an engineer though I work on project management, communications and strategy.
Interested to pursue an MBA to get into consulting and hopefully ADB/World Bank someday. Some international experience (exchange abroad, work conferences and field visits for work). Average student in undergrad, and I haven't taken the GMAT yet though I'm studying for it now.
B-School SelectionI'm currently looking at Singapore b-schools (though Korea and Japan are also choices though I don't speak the language) since it's closer to home, though not sure of my chances yet. Preference is SMU for their 1-year program.I would prefer a strategy and social impact-focused MBA though and it seems Singapore b-schools are finance-heavy.
Preparing for Round 2 or 3 of SMU (January 2021 intake) or Round 1 of either NUS or NTU. Also checking out Kyoto University (but it's not ranked). I've given up hope for INSEAD because 1. GMAT average 2. price 3. amount of essays
