Hi,
I live in India and would be applying for full time mba admissions to colleges in the US for class of 2018. I have already given my gmat and shortlisted 7 schools I am interested in.
I plan to visit some of the colleges(Stanford, Haas, UCLA, MIT and maybe Duke and Tepper too) but I am not sure what would be the best time to do so.
I would like to know if it makes more sense to apply to 4 colleges in round 1 and 3 in round 2 and do a 2 week US college visit tour in between round 1 and round 2.
Or would it be better if I do the visit before round 1, sometime in sept when colleges open, and apply to maybe 2 colleges in round 1 and 5 colleges in round 2. I am assuming it would take lot of time to plan the visit and actually do the visit, which would leave me enough time to only apply to 2 colleges in round 1.
Please consider the below factors for this discussion -
Round 1 vs Round 2 -> Chances of getting admits
College Visit -> Helpful/Not Helpful? Increase in chance of being admitted?
Importance of visit at specific colleges?
Makes sense to visit colleges after applying?
Thanks!
