Right now I'm in the process of taking the GMAT...not really thinking about applying to b-schools yet. Well I know that many of you are already out of school (w/bachelors degree), but I just needed to know something:

Can you apply to grad schools while you're getting your bachelor's?

I just finished my finals, and have only a couple of classes remaining.
I know this is probably a stupid question, but I never heard anyone mention this situation before on the forums...maybe I'm just missing something.

Some schools have a special preference for young applicant and even have special entry-categories for them. HBS' 2+2 comes to mind.

Am a current senior. Sure, you can apply.

Some schools such as HBS/Stanford warm up to the idea more than others. Often, there are very few admits - some of which are deferred

A lot of schools will ding you instantly without any work experience. Many publish stats of the percent of students with less than 2 years work experience and typically its only a couple percent at the top schools.

They want you to have work experience for a reason. The advantage of knowing you want an MBA now is you can groom your profile somewhat to maximize you chances in a few years. You are honestly much better off waiting a few years, it will definitely improve your chances. Coming straight out of undergrad and getting into a top school is nearly impossible. You have to literally be the top of your class in terms of academics and extra curriculars, and it helps to have impressive internships.
