Ray, congrats on your accomplishment.
I was at HBS last year for a consultation about the program. I need to say that it is very competitive. It isn't a DBA anymore but rather a Ph.D.
Unlike the MBA, the Ph.D. does not really place so much emphasis on your work experience, unless the work experience was in academia (teaching and research). So your work experience alone cannot guarantee a place at HBS.
If I were you I would try second tier schools such as the University of Virginia and Purdue University which have amazing Ph.D. programs in management as well.
