Hi everyone,

I am in the process of applying to an MBA program. But I was wondering if I can start the application process even if I haven't yet finished my bachelor's degree. My bachelor's degree is in progress right now. I just want to make sure, I can apply to a MBA program while still finishing up my bachelor's. I plan to start my MBA after I graduate from undergrad.

Hi everyone,

It is preferable to have some experience before going for an MBA. Have you considered deferred MBA programs?

does every school offer deferred programs? how do we know if there is deferred admission for that school?

A lot of schools do. The best way to check the school's website. I guess I will also make a list of the deferred MBA programs. I will get you the link soon.

What is a deferred program? Also, I do have an internship currently. I also have some experience from past summer jobs from the hospitality industry. I also help my family manage a motel (for the past 3 years).

i think , if you show strong leadership skills, a very highh gmat score and exceptional background in extra curriculum. you should be good. However, chances are very low to get into a good b school, when competing with a pool of people who have 5 years exp. not to demotivate you, but if you are feel confident about your Strong application, go ahead and apply! but surely, i may not be the right person answering it, Nikhil can def comment on this one :) and correct if im wrong

This is what I have found from ARINGO 's blog

Deferred Enrollment
While most MBA programs expect students to spend about three to six years in the workforce before applying for business school, deferred admissions opportunities give candidates a guaranteed pathway to the MBA before having extensive career exposure. These top MBA programs allow early career candidates and less experienced candidates to apply immediately after their undergraduate degree or at their final year of study. If they are admitted they can defer their enrollment and use the time to gain more work experience, or start their MBA immediately after their undergraduate degree. These programs are usually very competitive, as deferred programs have very small classes in terms of who they’re going to admit into their early career program, and successful applicants tend to have exceptional academics, demonstrated leadership and unwavering passion. Candidates are advised to be clear about their professional goals, to be prepared to make up for lack of professional experience with proven leadership potential and exceptional extracurricular exploits, and have high test scores and grades, to demonstrate potential in the absence of real world work experience.

yes Nikhil, i have the exam on wednesday, all im hoping is , it should not get cancelled. I have already rescheduled it twice:( hope it goes well
