There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
I took the GMAT a couple of days ago and ended up with a pathetic quant score (I still have no idea what made me score soooo low, because I felt I did the exam pretty well and had scored Q49/V44 in the official mock test just a few days before the actual exam).
I can't take the GMAT again before the deadline (which is just a few days from now), but I still want to go ahead and apply anyway because I feel my application is strong in other ways (uniquely rich life story, background etc).
My query is: what can I do to compensate for the low GMAT quant score? I do plan to mention how well I did in a few quant courses during college and school, but is there anything else I can do?
Also, is it worth taking the GMAT again post-deadline? I'm guessing I won't be able to report the score to the school after the deadline, but it might come in handy if (a BIG "if") I am called in for an interview? What do you guys think?
