Honestly, I would talk to the school. I can definitely see them having an issue with students applying to multiple similar programs. Some programs at LSE are "easier" to get into and they all have similar recruiting. I would pick the one that fits your profile the best.
To directly answer your question, you should write a different and new essay unless otherwise directed differently. If you are going to sell adcoms that you have different motives for applying to these programs that you consider fundamentally different, you should put in the effort. Otherwise they will see exactly what you are doing - trying to apply to a number of similar programs because you just want to study at LSE.
Sir/madam, I have kept much of the statements same but I have changed a bit regarding why I want to study each in the later part of my essays. The two programs are pretty competitive, and essentially they are same. The question that I face is that if I tried to write another essay, I will be reinventing the wheel. As in, my academic background, my life, my aspirations, my passion for finance, my career vision, will essentially remain the same. I can’t change them. Can I?

The only thing I can change I believe is that why I feel the two degrees are important to me and my career. I’ve tried explain that in different ways but otherwise everything is constant. What do I do?
