My top choice is Duke; however, I have been placed on the waitlist. I am staying on the waitlist, but most decide on a backup if I do not make it in.
My choices so far are seen below. My concentrations are most likely going to be in private equity and real estate investment.
Cornell - no word on scholarship yet
UNC - no scholarship
Vanderbilt - full scholarship
Emory - significant scholarship
UCLA - no word on scholarship yet

hmm... i would lean towards Cornell considering your interest in Finance. That's the only school outside of M7 and Duke where you may have a long shot at recruiting for investment banking. considering you get into middle market IB from there, you can potentially work your way to PE. easier said than done, but possible.

I would probably lean Cornell as well, depending on scholarship information, but the comment that you need to go to M7, Cornell or Duke to do investment banking is simply not correct. Tuck, Stern, Darden, Ross, Yale and others all put people into investment banking at a pretty significant rate. I'm sure others do as well.
