Hey there - does anyone have any insight as to what appropriate gifts to recommenders are? For a male recommender? Female?

Thanks!

Wait, we're supposed to send gifts? I suppose I will worry about that after apps are submitted. Definitely leaning toward Chia pets though. I mean, honestly, who doesn't like watching life sprout before their very eyes?

I sent gifts appropriate to the people who did my recommendations. One of my recommenders is a Republican political strategist. I sent him a copy of Michael Barone's new edition of the Almanac of American Politics. My other recommender (pretty much the polar opposite of the first one) is really in to indie music. I'm going to get her a pair of tickets to one of her favorite bands in concert. I think its better to get them something that you know they will like rather than a bottle of port or something "traditional" that will sit on their shelf forever.
