I just tried the Practice Test1 of GMATPrep which I downloaded from mba.com, and I must say I am amazed by the outcome
Basically I did really bad in Quantative section and I was kind of frustrated and lost my concerntration (I consider myself much stronger in math than in verbal, so doing bad in math really discourages me). There also happend to have a lot of tough DS questions which are unlike the ones I've practiced in the GMAT 11th edition. The Verbal section was alright. I did find it odd that my first two RCs were relatively short, only two paragraphs for each RC. I thought the reason that I was given easy RCs was that I did so bad in the first few SC and CR.
I have taken two Princeton Review Diagnostics and I got 520 for first one and 570 for second one. I felt I did really bad on the GMATPrep Test1 today comparing to my last two Princeton Review Diagnostics. However, when I clicked Next on the screen to reveal my score, I found an amazing 660!!!! What's going on?
I noticed that I got 9 wrong in Quantative seciton!! and 19 wrong in the Verbal section. However, My math score turned out to be 49, and VB is something in the low 30s. How can that be?
The only possibility I have in my mind is that I got most experimental questions wrong in Math. I have never received a 9 wrong in Quantative with a 49 scale.
At last, a lot of people are saying real GMAT questions are way harder than the ones on GMATPrep, is that true? If that is the case, how realistic are GMATPrep scores? I am aiming to get around 650 on GMAT. My test is coming in two weeks, and I really would like to have a good idea where I am at.
Any comment is welcomed! =)
