Is a paid full-time internship in an IB counted as work experience by the US, Canadian & European MBA programs? There are conflicting view when googled online. An answer from a reliable source [someone contacted the adcom during their application or admission consultants] is highly appreciated. I'm targeting Top-20 US MBA programs, HEC Paris, LBS, University of Toronto, Cambridge & INSEAD.
Also, I have gained work experience of 1.5 yrs co-managing my extended family's portfolio worth in excess of 6 figures USD. I'm not counting this as work experience but is it worth mentioning in my resume under work experience?

Yes, this would be considered work experience and good work experience at that. With regards to the family business this would work in the capacity mentioned, use it in your resume, perhaps not under work experience but in an alternative section but def include it
