I prefer the 6th edition actually ?
I would not count on getting CAT access however with used copies.

Would using them and Magoosh be helpful or Magoosh on its own is enough ?
Im aiming for 700+

Yes, the contents of 6th Ed is relevant to current gmat. I doubt that you will have access to manhattan CAT if you buy 2nd hand books

I always recommend writing one bicycle at a time for studying one course at a time. Most people are not experienced enough with GMAT or self learning best practices to manage multiple courses simultaneously.
