From what I've heard, the new Kaplan exams grade substantially easier than the real thing.

Take GMATPrep or MGMAT to get a real idea. Heck, even Princeton Review will give you a fairly accurate score! Anything but Kaplan!

Not sure where you've heard this, but it's not the case. You may be confusing our CATs with our free sample tests, which are not adaptive because they are designed to give students a sense of what GMAT questions are like and what students need to work on. As a consequence, they aren't as accurate as our CATs. But our CATs are adaptive, and recently retooled to be even more accurate than ever.

Not sure where you've heard this, but it's not the case. I agree Kaplan CAT 4,5 & 6 are easier than 1,2 & 3
